Shannon has been fortunate to win multiple awards at the state, regional, and national levels.  He has been recognized with the Kodak Gallery Award and the Fuji Masterpiece Award on multiple occasions, and was the first portrait photographer in the southeast to receive the coveted Canon Par Excellence Award.  The Canon award is awarded to one photographer in each region of the United States and is judged on the basis of the best overall print case at the regional judging.  Shannon was the inaugural winner of this award, and not only won a crystal trophy, but was also presented with a Canon professional camera.  Also, Shannon has won the Photographer of the Year Award from the Virginia Professional Photographers Association.
He has been awarded many times with the Photographer of the Year Award by Professional Photographers of America for excellence in print competition, and also has been published in the National Loan Collection Book several times.  He has been blessed to have earned the following degrees:
Master of Photography (Professional Photographers of America), Master Photographic Craftsman (Professional Photographers of America), Certified Professional Photographer (Professional Photographers of America), Fellow of Photography (Virginia Professional Photographers Association), Fellow of Photography (Professional Photographers of North Carolina), and member by invitation of the American Society of Photographers.
Shannon is blessed to have his wife Tabitha working with him in the business and gives her the credit for the great expressions she is able to bring out of the children that we are privileged to work with.
Shannon and Tabitha have two children, Morgan and Caleb, and thank the Lord for his blessing in bringing them into their lives.
